The short version
PixelArtPro converts images to pixel art entirely inside your web browser. There are no accounts, no uploads, and no servers receiving your images. We do not track you across the web, we do not sell data (we barely have any), and we set no cookies of our own. This policy explains the small number of things that do happen when you visit pixelartpro.com.
What we collect
Practically nothing. Specifically:
- No account data. There is no signup, sign-in, or profile, so we hold no names, emails, or passwords.
- No uploaded images. Images you convert are processed locally and never transmitted to us (see below).
- No analytics or advertising trackers. We do not run analytics scripts, ad pixels, or fingerprinting code on the site.
- Emails you send us. If you write to us via the contact page, we receive whatever you include in that email — nothing more.
- Standard server logs. Like any website, our hosting provider may briefly log routine technical data (such as IP address and requested page) for security and operations. We do not combine these logs with anything else or use them to identify you.
How your images are handled
When you drop an image into the converter, your browser reads it into your device's memory and processes it there using HTML5 Canvas — downsampling, palette quantization, and dithering all run on your phone or computer. No image data is uploaded, transmitted, or stored by us at any point. The "Try With Sample Image" option loads a sample picture from our own server so you can test the tool, and that image is processed locally in exactly the same way.
Because everything is local, clearing your browser's site data removes any trace of your session. We keep no copy of anything you convert, and we could not show you your past conversions even if you asked us to.
Local storage on your device
PixelArtPro stores a small amount of data in your browser's localStorage — storage that lives only on your device and is never sent to us. It exists so the tools can remember your preferences and your saved work between visits. As of October 2026, the site uses exactly these keys:
themeandpixelartpro_theme— your light/dark mode choice, shared across all pages. Each stores only the wordlightordark.pixelforge.settings.v1— your Advanced Pixel Studio settings (sliders and options), so the editor reopens the way you left it.pixelforge.palettes.v1— custom color palettes you create and save in the Advanced Pixel Studio.pixelforge.presets.v1— presets you save in the Advanced Pixel Studio.pixelforge.theme.v1— the Advanced Pixel Studio's own theme preference.
That is the complete list: nothing else is written to localStorage, sessionStorage, or IndexedDB by the site's code, and none of it ever leaves your device. You can delete all of it at any time by clearing your browser's site data; the tools will simply start from their defaults.
Cookies
PixelArtPro sets no cookies of its own. We do not use cookies for sessions (there is no login), analytics, or advertising. Third-party resources listed below may behave according to their own policies, but the site itself is cookie-free.
Third-party resources
As of October 2026, PixelArtPro loads zero third-party resources. All stylesheets, fonts, and animation libraries are hosted directly on pixelartpro.com — nothing is fetched from Google Fonts, Tailwind's CDN, Iconify, or cdnjs. The only external URLs on the site are the site's own canonical and share URLs (pixelartpro.com) and schema.org identifiers in structured data, which are never fetched.
Because nothing is fetched from third parties, no external provider receives your IP address or request data from your visits. The images you convert are processed entirely in your browser and never leave your device.
Data retention
Since we do not collect your images or usage data, there is nothing to retain. Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to respond and maintain a support record. The theme preference in your localStorage persists on your device until you clear it.
Children's privacy
PixelArtPro is a general-audience creative tool with no accounts and no data collection, and it is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we ever change how the site handles data — for example, when the CDN dependencies above are replaced with self-hosted files — we will update this page and revise the "Last Updated" date. Because the site is client-side by design, any material change will be visible in the site's own code.
Privacy questions
